Good Morning, Good Night

Good Morning, Good Night

By Annie Alexander, Illustrated by Melanie Mitchell

This touch and feel book is ideal for infants. The pages start off with a good morning greeting to a tiny creature waking up to play.  The flap opens up to the goodnight page where the same tiny creature is settling down for the night. The last page is about a girl waking up to sleep in the morning and getting ready for bed.

The children can touch the furs on the animal and feel the different textures. The pages are colorful and filled with objects that are interesting to a child. I have spent a lot of time not just on reading the book but also talking about the pictures. The gentle rhyme winds down the day making this a very appropriate bedtime read.
